Countries like the UAE use 220–240V, while places such as the US and Japan use around 110–120V. This device bridges that difference by either stepping the voltage down (220V → 110V) or up (110V → 220V), ensuring that appliances receive the correct power and are not damaged.
Internally, the converter uses a transformer, which works on electromagnetic induction to change voltage without altering the type of electricity. This means the output is still AC power, just at a different voltage level.
