A reciprocating saw is a type of machine-powered saw in which the cutting action is achieved through a push-and-pull ("reciprocating") motion of the blade. The term is commonly applied to a type of saw used in construction and demolition work.
This type of saw, also known as a hognose or recip saw, has a large blade resembling that of a jigsaw and a handle oriented to allow the saw to be used comfortably on vertical surfaces. The typical design of this saw has a foot at the base of the blade, similar to that of a jigsaw.
The user holds or rests this foot on the surface being cut so that the tendency of the blade to push away from or pull towards the cut as the blade travels through its movement can be countered.
2 speed settings provides ideal settings for wood or metal cutting applications.
Newly designed vertical crank mechanism minimizes blade deflection and reduces vibration.
Comes WITHOUT BATTERY & CHARGER.
Toolless shoe adjustment enables fast and easy adjustment on the jobsite.
Large 2-finger trigger switch for optimum control and comfort.
Retractable sky hook allows tool be hung on rafters, pipes or scaffolding.
LED job light with pre-glow and after-glow features illuminates work area.
Ergonomic soft rubber grip design for vibration absorption and comfortable operation.
Accepts 2 x 18V Li-Ion batteries without a battery converter for use with existing 18V Li-Ion battery platform.
Brushless DC motor with high power to weight and size ratio.
Brushless DC motor generates less heat buildup and is ideal for use in prolonged manufacturing / production applications.
Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) offers maximum protection against dust, dirt and debris for optimal performance in extreme conditions.
Increased cutting speed and stroke length offers maximum cutting efficiency.
