The Himel HDM3L is a molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) that is used to protect electrical circuits from overload and short circuit currents. It has a 160S frame size and can carry a continuous current of up to 125 A. The breaker is also rated for a short circuit breaking capacity of 70 kA.
The MCCB has a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism, which means that it can trip due to either overload or short circuit currents. The thermal mechanism uses a bimetal strip to sense the temperature of the breaker and trip it if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold. The magnetic mechanism uses an electromagnet to trip the breaker if a short circuit current is detected.
