WEICON Gasket Maker APPLICATION: WEICON Gasket Maker is an adhesive, permanently elastic special sealant which hardens practically shrink-free due to humidity. Gasket Maker adheres very well to steel, aluminium, glass, ceramics and many other materials. Gasket Maker has excellent temperature, oil and grease resistance, is pressure-resistant, UV-stable, resistant to ageing and permanently elastic. The special sealant can be used on motors and water pumps, transmissions and axles, oil pans and much more. CHARACTERISTICS: The special sealant consists of 1-component polysiloxane (acetate) and has a temperature resistance of -60 to +280°C (short. [approx. 2h] +300°C). The sealant hardens when exposed to moisture with a skin formation time (at 50% relative humidity and 23°C) of 7-12 minutes. The maximum bridging of the adhesive gap is 5 mm with a maximum joint width of 25 mm. With a pasty viscosity and a volume change (DIN 52451) of only -1% to 3%, the Gasket Maker has an elongation at break according to ISO 37,S3A of 500%. QUALITY: 100% German Quality - The WEICON Gasket Maker meets the highest quality requirements in compliance with physical, safety, toxicological and ecological regulations. PROCESSING: Application methods: Hand pressure gun for 310 ml cartridges, compressed air gun. We recommend a variant with piston rod (WEICON compressed air cartridge gun), automatic dosing systems. STORAGE: WEICON elastic adhesives and sealants have a shelf life of 12 months when stored unopened and in a normal climate (+23°C and 50 % relative humidity). SURFACE PRE-TREATMENT: The surfaces must be clean and free of grease. Many surface contaminations such as oil, grease, dust and dirt can be removed with WEICON Surface Cleaner. We recommend WEICON Spray Cleaner S for particularly dirty metal surfaces.
